I want to take a moment to introduce myself and some of my associates. My name is Anne Moore and I have been in education for over 25 years. My associates and I are part of a group called Quality Transcript Consultants and we have branched out to include education services as well. Most of my associates are instructors, CMTs, authors, and national speakers. My main focus is education and I believe Jay has done a wonderful job in getting this externship started. This is a niche that needed to be filled and I am a firm believer that this is a great program to assist all new students in becoming the best they can be. I would like to see the forum expanded in ways to assist each of you, such as new topics in the medical industry, study groups to assist those of you wanting to take the RMT, and perhaps for those who wish to take their CMT exam as well. We have some excellent Quality Assurance resources and I do hope you read your feedback and ask questions if you need to. We are all here to help you. Remember...there is no such thing as a dumb question. We all started as students, just like you. We learned through classroom education and experience. Good luck in your studies and let me know if there is anything I can do to help you. Anne Moore, Education Coordinator

Some exciting news for MedTransition. We are now hiring transcriptionists to fulfill our needs for new accounts. This is an excellent opportunity for those of you in the externship program who are ready to move to the next step. Our parent company - Quality Transcript Consultants and Education Services - are working hard to get the online courses updated. This will benefit the transcription industry in that they will offer beginning courses, advanced courses, courses for continuing education, and eventually billing and coding courses. We will keep you posted. For those of you interested in applying, please send a resume to resume@qtconsultants.com. This includes transcriptionists, QA personnel, and instructors.

No new posts GOOGLE _ Reference to MedTransition
Good morning all. I just wanted to take some time to let everyone know of some disturbing information I have received. Evidently when doing a search on Google, there are some sites that do not shed MedTransition in a favorable light. Those sites are not related to us. These sites claim that "anyone" can pass the test. This is not true. We do have transcriptionists who fail the test. These transcriptionists are offered alternatives such as courses to broaden their skills or work as an extern to gain experience. The other misconception out there is that there is a $400 fee for software for this opportunity. This is not true. There is no fee to work as an extern nor as a compensated transcriptionist. Each transcriptionist is responsible for their own computer, reference material, and foot pedal. If any of you know of any sites that are bogus or detrimental to MedTransition, please let me know so I can have these checked out.
